1. The botfly, which is also known as a gadfly, warble fly or oestridae, is a relatively harmless insect but the larvae can dwell within the human body in a disgusting way.
2. This insect, when mature, isn’t too different from many other types of bugs.
3. It is the larvae that will really gross you out.
The bot fly will attach their eggs on human flesh so that the larvae can live within the body.
4. They live within the skin until it is time to leave the body and fly away. If you have a botfly larvae within your skin it is important to get rid of it as soon as possible.
