President Goodluck Jonathan has said that PDP will work to lead Nigeria to attain its destined position. Jonathan spoke in Sokoto on Saturday at a grand reception organised for a former governor of the state, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, who defected to PDP with his supporters from APC. “The PDP is the only party that is able and it will continue to portray the tenets of democracy. “The PDP respects the rule of law at all levels and we respect the constitution,” he said. Jonathan said PDP was the number one party in Nigeria and would continue to be so. He further said that the Federal Government under the party would continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians. Protesters have set fire to a section of the presidency building in the Bosnian capital city of Sarajevo as the anti-governments have spread across the country. AP news agency reported that central Sarajevo was in chaos on Friday night with buildings and cars burning and riot police in full gear chasing protesters and pounding batons against their shields to get the crowd to disperse. At least 200 people were injured in Friday’s clashes, according to AP. Also on Friday, protesters set fire to a local government building in the northern town of Tuzla, the hotspot of violence that began on Tuesday. Authorities in Tuzla had ordered schools to cancel classes earlier in the day. Argentine government is seeking football partnership with Nigeria. The newly-appointed Ambassador of Argentina to Nigeria, Gustavo Dzugala on Thursday made the proposal when he paid a courtesy visit to the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari at the Glass House in Abuja. Dzugala, who is only a month old in Nigeria, after serving in the same capacity in Serbia, is seeking closer ties between Nigeria and Argentina National Teams as well as Clubs in both nations. "Football is more than just a game; it is becoming a very potent political tool all over the world. Football makes the world go round beautifully, because it is the 'beautiful game'.
